A trip to the pastry shops (cukr叩szda) in Budapest is a must. Auguszt (F辿ny utca 8) is my favourite; with a long history back to 1870, its indulgent pastries even survived the Communist era. Try the ice cream at Daubner (Sz辿pv旦lgyi ut 50), which is worth queuing for, and visit Szalai (Balassi B叩lint St 7) for its old-fashioned charm.<BR>
